Welcome WVHS families
Dear Warwick Valley High School Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!
I hope you and your family have enjoyed a restful and enjoyable summer. As we prepare to begin another exciting year at Warwick Valley High School, I want to extend a warm welcome to both our returning families and those joining our school community for the first time. To the members of the Class of 2030, welcome to WVHS! We are excited to have you begin your high school journey with us.
A new school year brings a fresh start and endless opportunities for growth. Whether you are entering high school for the first time or beginning your senior year, each day offers the chance to learn something new, build meaningful relationships, discover new strengths, and expand your world as you know it.
At Warwick Valley High School, we are committed to creating an environment where every student feels welcomed, challenged, and supported. Our teachers, counselors, and staff are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage students to get involved, ask questions, seek support when needed, and make the most of the many academic, artistic, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities available. Whatever your interests may be, we have a club or class designed to help you explore them further.
Throughout the summer, our faculty and staff have been hard at work preparing for another successful school year. Teachers collaborated to enhance curriculum, develop engaging learning experiences, and ensure our courses continue to provide meaningful opportunities for students. Our staff has also been updating our facilities, preparing classrooms, refining procedures, and making improvements throughout the building so that we are ready to welcome students back.
The first day of classes for students is Wednesday, Sept. 2, and we look forward to filling the hallways with the energy and excitement that only our students can bring.
Be sure to save the date for Homecoming on Saturday, Sept. 26, when our school community will come together to celebrate our Wildcat pride with a day of lively events, athletic competitions, and those special traditions that define our community.
On behalf of our entire faculty and staff, thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to an outstanding school year filled with learning, achievement, and memorable experiences. Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year!
Sincerely,
Georgianna Diopoulos-Grogan
