The Warwick Fire Department has responded to 102 calls for service as of Monday morning at 8 a.m.
The Warwick Fire Department is comprised of Four Firefighting companies including the Warwick Fire Police.
This past week all four WFD companies completed the following details from calls for service to vehicle apparatus truck checks and fleet maintenance by completing weekly work details at Warwick Fire Stations.
This past Monday evening the WFD held its monthly Department Drill on the annual mandatory PESH (The Public Employee Safety and Health Bureau) training. This training covers: Hazardous Materials/Emergency Response, Respiratory Protection, Blood Borne Pathogen, Right to Know, and Workplace Violence. This is an annual requirement for all members. We had an excellent turnout. Thank you to all the volunteers who attended this training.
This past Monday evening three WFD companies held weekly work details and truck checks.
This past Tuesday evening Engine Company #3 held a work detail and truck checks.
On Wednesday evening Engine Company #3 held its monthly scheduled Engine Company Operations Drill at Warwick Station #4.
On Saturday Warwick Engine 636 provided stand by coverage at the New City Fire Engine Co. No. 1 in Rockland county NY along with Ramsey, New Jersey Volunteer Fire Department while New City firefighters attended the Line of Duty Death Funeral for Jared Lloyd of Columbian Fire Engine Company , Spring Valley N.Y.
The Warwick FD also attended the Funeral Services at the Rockland Boulders Stadium on Saturday morning for FF Jared Lloyd.
The Warwick FD hopes our community had a happy and healthy Easter. The WFD responded to 4 calls for service during Easter.

Warwick Fire Prevention Team Report:
As part of the 10th Annual FASNY Firemen’s Association of the State of NY RecruitNY Recruitment Drive the Warwick Fire Department will host an Open House Recruitment Drive on Saturday April 24th from noon until 4 p.m. at the Warwick Fire Department Headquarters located at WFD Station #1 at #25 Church Street Extension off of Forester Avenue in the Village of Warwick. The Warwick Fire Department will join other Volunteer Fire Departments throughout NY State at their respective firehouses for a unified recruitment drive. Not only will RecruitNY be an opportunity to highlight the rewards and responsibilities that come with being a volunteer firefighter, it will also raise public awareness about the need for volunteers.
Throughout the day, the Warwick Fire Department will conduct tours of the fire station and firefighter apparatus will discuss the requirements to be a volunteer, as well as conduct demonstrations, answer questions, and let visitors know how to get involved in their community fire department. If you or someone you know from aged 16 and up is interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter or Fire Police member please let them know about this exciting event.
