When Cheney gets involved, ‘he is there for the long haul'

To the editor: I want you, the residents of the Village of Warwick, to know why I support Barry Cheney for Village Trustee. Barry has given over 20 years of dedicated service to the Warwick Little League. He has been a coach, manager, umpire, commissioner and board member. Possibly the most unique thing about his dedication is that he has not had a child in the league for the last eight years and he still remained involved. In his current capacity as a board director, he works closely with the elected and appointed officials in the village, town, and county and with our state assemblywoman and state senator. He also coordinates with the school district for use of facilities and has worked together with the other youth sports organizations to equitably allocate limited field space. As a trustee, Barry will be sensitive to the needs of our youth sports programs and will continue to foster the kind of intergovernmental cooperation necessary to make the most of the resources we have and develop new. With 20 years in Warwick Little League, he has proven that when he gets involved, he is there for the long haul. Tom Ballard Warwick
