To the editor: Once again, we have lost one of our important local Main Street businesses. The Book Store is closing after several years of supplying us with a fine selection of books. The books were right there on Main Street, handy and accessible. Michael was always able and willing to order and the book(s) arrived promptly. What more could we have asked? What an incredible loss for all of us. Money spent locally comes back to the local community - not to some giant conglomerate who undersells everyone and puts a local business out of business. Are we now to find another real estate office in its place? As we lose these local businesses, we lose the diversity and charm of our village. First, the Hardware Store, now The Bookstore. What next?
