We need a new grocery store
To the editor: When are we getting a new grocery store? I understand and agree that we have to keep our farmlands open, safe and free from developers and I know the town is worried that having stores on Route 94, the farmland entrance to Warwick, will look cluttered and unsightly. Hello, has anyone seen the barn that is falling down on this so called farmland entrance to Warwick? It gives this farm community a black eye. Yes, it needs to be either taken down or repaired, but we still need another grocery store. I am tired of spending more money for my groceries than I do at other supermarkets. It’s not right, especially for the people on set incomes. First Hannafords Supermarket was going to build and all of a sudden up popped turtles. Now I understand that the Town Board is going over plans for a Price Chopper, but they aren’t pleased with them. I wouldn’t care if their plans had pigs hanging from the rafters. We need another grocery store and not ten years from now. Robin A. Hanlon Warwick
