We don't need a playground'
To the editor: What we don’t need is a playground, an aquarium, an art studio, a diner and another community room. We have no less than eight places where you can hold meetings. We don’t need a 4,000-square-foot room for five bookcases - the rest being a play area. They shouldn’t need two kitchens. They have a children’s area, a young adult area, no less than three study areas. What are the school libraries used for? They are nice quiet study areas. Each school has one, some have two. We are hanging art for local artists to sell. During nice weather let them put their paintings along the fence at Demming Park. An art sale in the fashion of a yard sale. We should not be paying to put in a sidewalk on private property either. Here’s a novel idea: For the $100,000 donation put their name on the garden. Then go and get a donation for $1 million and tell the donor that they will have their name on the children’s area or the community room. For another $100,000 you will put their name on the kitchen. Definition: room, building or institution where books, research material, software and computer material, newspapers, magazines, periodicals are kept. Nowhere does it mention a playground or diner. Once again those in charge have gone to extremes. We just need a library. On March 8 vote no. Paul Shust Warwick
