'We are so grateful for everyone's help'

We want to express our sincerest thanks to all the emergency responders (police and EMS) who came to assist my husband, Joe Mandracchia, at the Landmark Inn restaurant on Sept. 2, 2011. While enjoying a wonderful dinner with our family, Joe suffered a choking/breathing episode that required emergency care. The staff at the Landmark immediately came to our assistance, called 911 and kept everyone calm and re-assured. In addition, several doctors and a fireman, who just happened to be dining in the restaurant, also came to our assistance providing immediate emergency medical care. In a matter of minutes, police and emergency crews were there to assist, calm all of us, and transport Joe to St. Anthony's Hospital. I am happy to report that Joe is now home and doing fine. Without everyone's rapid response I am sure this could have turned out much differently. Our family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the owners and staff of the Landmark Inn restaurant, and to the Warwick Police and EMS crews that responded so quickly and professionally. We also want to thank the doctors and fireman who, without hesitation, jumped in to help so selflessly. Unfortunately, with all of the confusion, we did not get any names of the people who helped save Joe, but you all know who you are. We want you all to know how thankful we are for all of your help that night. We are so grateful to live in a community like Warwick where there as so many good and caring people willing to help their fellow residents with no thought of themselves. We are so grateful for everyone's support! Sincerely, Ann Mandracchia Warwick
