'We are fortunate to have Bill Olsen willing to run for the town board'

I was delighted to learn that Bill Olsen is a candidate for the Warwick Town Council. Bill has a professional background that makes him very well qualified to bring new and sound ideas to town governance. But at least as important is his personal history of community involvement and service. He is a long-time member of the Greenwood Lake Commission, which is tasked with oversight of the economic and environmental restoration and preservation of Greenwood Lake and its watershed. He served two terms on the Warwick Village Board, where he drafted the agreement on annexation policy and procedures approved by both the Town of Warwick and the Village of Warwick in 2002. He also drafted the Zoning Codes and Design Standards, which became the basis for Warwick’s receipt of the Governor’s Quality Communities Award for Excellence in Smart Growth. There’s more - like his service on the Conservation Board, the Glynwood Grange, the Warwick Open Space Plan Committee - but I’m certain the picture is clear: We are very fortunate to have Bill Olsen willing to run for the Town Board.
