Warwick Chamber disrespects sacred date
To the editor: Are we to believe the date was a typographical error in the article that boasted of the success of the 14th Annual Taste of Warwick? Please, we all know the “popular fall social event” was held on Sept. 11, a day that should purposely not include a celebration. Oh yes, the evening was so pleasant, with guests strolling around picturesque grounds, feeding their faces with gourmet food. Candlelit tents under the stars, so dreamy, so romantic. Why don’t you ask the survivors and family members of those who perished on Sept. 11, if they feel that day should be a day to party, celebrate, be happy, laugh, socialize and make money. The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce just couldn’t restrain itself from holding sacred the one day a year that should be held sacred, for that day has changed our lives forever. Thank You. Lynn M.
