Update on Jason Mazzella

This letter is a follow-up to an article in the March 15 issue stating that our son, Jason Mazzella, was severely injured in Afghanistan and was receiving treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in D.C. After two months at Walter Reed, he and his supportive and devoted wife, Brianna, finally returned to Fort Carson, Colorado, to continue his rehab and heal in the comfort of their home. He will be returning to Walter Reed in August or September for more surgeries. We cannot express our thanks enough to all in our community who have given support and prayers to Jason, Brianna and both their families as we have gone through this difficult ordeal. You don’t realize what a terrific support system our community has until something happens to you or a family member. Please continue to keep all of our soldiers and all those wounded in your prayers. Remember to thank our military men and women, past and present, when you see them for they are - and were - willing to give their life for our freedom! Clara and Mark Mazzella Warwick
