Think - and act - locally

To the editor: The closing of The Bookstore in the Village of Warwick highlights the struggles for survival of small businesses all across our land. They simply cannot exist without a commitment by local residents to think of them first before heading off to the mall. Malls are fine and a local shop may not have what you need, but we have to think locally first. Think how different Warwick, Greenwood Lake or Florida would be with boarded up store fronts and clogged roads leading to the next mega mall. Michael P. Sweeton, supervisor Town of Warwick
