The warmth of memories

To the editor: Sandra M. Rothenberger spoke of how she copes with the cold. That brings back memories of my childhood. Mind you, I am not THAT old; but we were poor and heat was a luxury - one vent for the house. We learned how to dress over it while still having our nightgowns on. Scraping the ice off the inside of the windows to see out. Dad’s constant reminder, “if you’re cold, put on another shirt.” I miss those days. Sandra, keep warm. I have many extra shirts if you need some. Doris Bialas New Hampton
