The vitalizing effect

To the editor: The library is the intellectual hub of a community. A fine library enables the members of that community to take part in literature, performance, art as well as information services. These are no small things. The really wonderful thing is that the vitalizing effect from its presence is shared even by those who don’t participate in its programs.
