The value of beauty

To the editor: There are quite a few practical reasons why the Community Preservation Fund (CPF) would benefit the people of Warwick. We could save our farms, protect our water, reduce development and hold down both school and municipal taxes. For me, it is caring for the beauty of our town that I most value. We all have eyes to see and admire. We see the patterns of black and white on the Black Dirt in winter, the grazing cows against the green field of summer, the roads framed in cathedral shaped golden trees in autumn and reflections of sky and pale green growth in ponds in spring. What is the value of beauty? The beauty in nature provides spirituality, healing and joy. Roslyn Fassett Warwick
