The Queen Village Queens look to hold a reunion in May
This letter is hoping to reunite a group of women who made history in Warwick. These women are the former members of the N.Y.S. Champion Drum & Bugle Corps - the Queen Village Queens. The Queen Village Queens, formed in 1961, was an all-girl junior marching and maneuvering and parade corps based in Warwick. The Corps carried on the tradition for decades. A group of formers members led by Tammy Fisk will be holding a reunion May 30, 2010, at the Greenwood Lake Elks Club, 25 Chestnut St., Greenwood Lake. The hours are 1 to 4 p.m. There will be food, drinks, memorabilia, photos and memories of the many wonderful years this Corps existed. The Queens have been invited to march in Warwick’s Memorial Day parade May 31, 2010, as well. Those interested in attending can mail a check payable to Tammy Fisk at 27 Chestnut St., Greenwood Lake, NY 10925. The cost is $10 per family; if you would like a T-shirt ,enclose an extra $5 and your shirt size. Please note how many will be attending with your RSVP. The RSVP date is April 15, 2010. You can find the group listed on Facebook as Queens Village Queens all girl drum and bugle corps alum. It will have information on the reunion and you can post any questions you may have. Those who prefer can send questions by e-mail Tammy Fisk at greenmm_oki@hotmail.com or Raea Dougherty-Kober at raealand@hotmail.com.
