Thanks for that ‘bit of Hometown USA'

To the editor: Please let us take this opportunity to thank the communities of Warwick, Pine Island and Goshen for their wonderful support of our family while our son, Lt. James Paffenroth, USN, was serving in Iraq for the past year. Jim has returned to the states and spent two weeks on R&R at home in Pine Island. Jim also expressed his gratitude to the local schools, Warwick Track Team, First Presbyterian Church in Goshen, fire companies, Pine Island Legion, community organizations and so many individuals who sent so many wonderful care packages, cards and letters. He always had enough to share with those in his unit who didn’t receive gifts from home. Jim noted that the packages were always more then generous and helped brighten what was usually a tedious day. He appreciated a bit of Hometown USA being mailed to him while he was far from U.S. soil. Your prayers were also deeply appreciated. It was wonderful knowing you were cared for. Jim has now returned to his Naval Command in Nashville, Tenn., and will work in officer recruitment for the next 18 months. Again we thank you for the care you offered our family. God Bless each of you. Sincerely, David and Wendy (Musgrave) Paffenroth Pine Island
