Thankful for the expertise of local medical professionals
To the editor: I am so glad some amazing doctors and medical professionals decided to call Warwick home. My 81-year-old father had been severely limited due to arthritis in both knees. For the last couple of years he has spent 95 percent of his day confined to chairs in his home. Thanks to some great doctors, nurses and therapists right here in Warwick, he is now walking around with a cane and is able to get out and enjoy life. Our family would like to thank everyone who has taken such good care of him for the past several years. From his primary care doctor, Anish Khanna, and the wonderful staff at Horizon Medical, to his skillful surgeon John Juliano for fixing two of the oldest, beat-up knees on the planet, to Dr. Gulfo and the St. Anthony’s physical therapy staff for building up his strength, and to the caring individuals at Willcare for nursing him back to health, you are all amazing. Our entire experience at St. Anthony’s was also first-rate. From the pre-op screening, to admitting, to the operating room nurses and anesthesiologists, to the staff on the first floor where he recovered, everyone was so professional and pleasant. We would also like to thank the kind receptionist who was always well-equipped with lollipops and pictures for our kids during our numerous visits. Our family is so thankful for you all. Because of you, my father was able to have successful knee replacement right here in Warwick while surrounded by family and friends. Sharon Davis and the family of Len Goedegebuure Warwick
