Thank you for your help with the Warwick Community Kitchen

I would like to take the opportunity to thank my community. When I began my Girl Scout Gold Award Project to form and start the Warwick Community Kitchen, my family and I had no idea where it would lead. The overwhelming support and generosity from many members of our community has enabled me to start speaking with people about continuing the kitchen well into the future. I would like to thank the following people listed in order of the sequence of events that helped to bring the kitchen to fruition: Thank you to David Higgins of Lanc and Tully Engineering and Surveying. Mr. Higgins was instrumental in organizing meetings between the Orange County Department of Health and myself. He donated his services for those meetings as well as in preparing aerial maps for well placement to get bids from well drillers when the kitchen was initially going to be at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Thank you to the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce who saw this project as something so wonderful and so needed within our community. Thank you for sponsoring the dinners with your generous monetary contributions. Thank you to Dr. Raymond Bryant who worked to enable me to have the Warwick Community Kitchen at the former Pine Island Elementary School. Without his support there would not be a kitchen. Thank you to Pastor Don and Mrs. Pam Heatley and the outstanding members of the congregation of Vision Community Church. Your generosity and kindness have been amazing. Thank you for welcoming my family and I and allowing us to work with you to give back to those who need some help. Thank you to Fav’s Treatery who is donating their unsold bread at the end of each day that we need it. Thank you to Guy Bogart and Warwick Sanitation for the donation of waste removal for every dinner. Thank you to the Bellvale Creamery for donating many gallons of wonderful ice cream that we are serving with dessert at the dinners. Thank you to Masker Orchards for their donation of Apple Chips and Sweet Potato Chips. Thank you to my grandparents, James and Donna Scheuermann, for their donation of all of the silverware, cups, napkins, plates, bowls and serving utensils for the November dinner. A very big thank you to my Girl Scout Sisters in Troop 407 for coming and helping me at the November dinner and for asking to keep coming back to help. Thank you to Warwick Girl Scouts for donating all of the lunch bags for the November dinner and for continuing to provide those lunches at future dinners. Thank you to my mom, dad and sister, Rebecca, for loving and supporting me. Lastly, thank you to my community for your kind words, love and support. Thank you for letting me help those in need within our community. Thank you so much. Victoria Garloch Sugar Loaf Girl Scout Troop 407
