Ten tons of gratitude
To the editor: I recently held a Computer Recycling Day for the Warwick community as my Eagle Service Project. The project was a great success, and I’d like to thank many for their support: Town Supervisor Mr. Michael Sweeton, and the Town of Warwick for sponsoring the project. The Troop 45 Scouts, leaders, and parents who helped at the event. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for sponsoring the troop and for allowing me to hold the event on church property, and the Building and Grounds Coordinator Art Christensen. Barbara Conklin, Ken Sherwood and the Orange County DPW Division of Environmental Services and Facilities for bringing the roll-off containers and transporting the filled containers to the recycling company. Angela Abrams of the Giant Copy Shop for producing the advertising banner and signs. ShopRite of Warwick for support for food and drinks for the volunteers. Dr. Frank Greenhall, Warwick Valley School Superintendent, for the use of his giant tent. Community members who made donations to show their appreciation for this service. Those who brought their computers and parts to be recycled in an environmentally safe way - totaling nearly 10 tons! Ben Hutchison Troop 45
