Tastefully offered thanks
To the editor: Rain or shine, we felt and appreciated the community support for our second annual St. Stephen’s Taste of the Town last Tuesday evening in Warwick. In particular, we would like to thank numerous local restaurants who rose to the occasion and produced some amazing food for our patrons to taste. Participating restaurants included Jean-Claude Patisserie, Willows Café, Landmark Inn, Frank’s Pizza, Bellvale Farms Creamery, Halligan’s, Carriage Path Café, Spring Street Market, Pioneer Restaurant, Lisa’s Cookies, Iron Forge Inn, Pennings Farm Market and Freddie’s Pub, all of Warwick. Florida restaurants included The Copper Bottom, Village Grill and Janet’s Quality Baked Goods. There also were Maggie’s In the Alley and Angelo’s Italian Ice from Chester as well as Restaurant La Tour of Crystal Springs Country Club, Hardyston, N.J., Greg’s Place of Greenwood Lake, and Carmine’s of Greenville. Participating beverage suppliers included Applewood Winery, Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery and Demerest Hill Winery & Vineyard and Dana Distributors. We encourage you to stop into any one of the participating establishments and continue to support our local businesses and enjoy delicious local food and drink. In addition, we offer our thanks to our sponsors, Provident Bank, Team Marsden and Pelton Crossing as well as a number of local merchants, businesses and friends who supported our event by purchasing ads in our book, donating services and promoting the event. Through community support, we were able to raise nearly $17,000 for our parish and school community. It is a fine reflection on our entire Warwick Community to know that events such as this are supported so generously. We looks forward to next year’s event: May 15, 2007. Sincerely, Mary Juliano and Karen Pinkham St. Stephen’s 2006 Taste of the Town Committee Chairs
