Support library annual appeal

To the editor: We write to thank you for the prominent and favorable coverage of the launch of the 2007-08 annual appeal for the benefit of Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick. The library has long been at the center of our community, a repository of knowledge and place of learning where everyone is welcome. This is the fourth annual appeal and the first to be conducted under the auspices of Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation. The foundation is a not-for-profit corporation created to build public awareness of the role of the library in an increasingly digital, globalized world and to seek private financial support for enhancements to the library’s collections and programs. We have offered to match the first $20,000 of contributions to the Appeal at a rate of 50 percent. We would like nothing more than to make our maximum committed contribution of $10,000.
