Support for Jerry Sommer's re-election to the school board

To the editor, I am writing to urge Warwick voters to re-elect Jerry Sommer to the Warwick Board of Education on Tuesday May 16. As a tireless advocate for the excellent school system Warwick is known for, Jerry Sommer possesses the intelligence to understand the complex issues facing the district and he is keenly aware of the needs of its students. Jerry Sommer has served with distinction on the School Board for the past three years. He serves on five of the board’s committees and he is a liaison to BOCES, the Town and Village of Warwick Boards and the Chamber of Commerce. Jerry Sommer also brings to the board a wealth of experience he has gained as a parent and an active community leader. Through his work on numerous civic and community groups, both in Warwick and Orange County, he deals daily with local students, residents and other community leaders. These contacts make him a valuable resource for the School District as knowledgeable representative of the entire community. Warwick is fortunate to have such a dedicated public servant.
