Support for Janine Sarbak for the Warwick School Board
To the editor: We are writing on behalf of Janine Sarbak as a candidate for the Warwick School Board of Education. Janine would be a true asset to the board for several reasons. Janine is a highly intelligent independent and focused thinker who is an excellent communicator. Additionally, she is an active and engaged listener with a vast range of relevant work experiences. While serving as assistant district attorney in Nassau County for more than 10 years, Janine worked on cases ranging from substance abuse to violence in schools. Her role as assistant DA charged her with the responsibility to engage the law to protect the public. As parents with children in the Warwick school system, student safety is of paramount importance to all of us. Recently, Janine demonstrated her “can do” work ethic while speaking at a Sanfordville PTA meeting with Warwick police officer Al Scorba on the dangers present to our children that lurk on the internet. Janine is currently an adjunct professor at Marist College. This responsibility gives her unique insight into curriculum development and the educational needs of students. Janine also is an energetic and highly motivated leader who volunteers her time in activities ranging from soccer coach to PTA. As a mother of two Warwick students at the elementary and middle school level, and as a Warwick homeowner, Janine cares deeply for her community and schools. She shares taxpayers concerns for fiscal responsibility in these days of upwardly spiraling costs. Finally, Janine Sarbak possesses solid integrity and would be a dynamic addition to the Warwick School Board of Education. We wholeheartedly support Janine Sarbak for Warwick Valley School Board.
