Sue Kelly stands side by side with normal Americans'
To the editor: I am responding to a letter of Oct. 13th opposing the establishment of military tribunals for bringing justice to terrorists. I am sorry the reader has to live in a world where our military captures terrorists who are trying to kill us. I guess we should send notes to our brave soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, letting them know that the rights of the guys trying to kill them and us are more important than they are. While we’re at it, let’s send Al Qaeda the name of a good trial attorney who can help them avoid telling is their plans for killing us. I am thankful our troops have been able to capture so many of these scum, including 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Clogging our court system with the appeals of people who have been caught on the battlefield by U.S. soldiers is ridiculous. I’m glad Sue Kelly voted to mete justice to these people - and I hope the tribunals she voted to establish start trying and sentencing people who worked with Osama Bin Laden and Mohammed Atta as soon as possible. The question of military tribunals really needs to be posed to far left Congressional candidate John Hall. Where does he stand? Is he in favor of expanding the rights of those who want to kill us? Or does he stand side by side with normal Americans? Joseph E. Coleman Florida, NY
