Student asks for ‘a debate for the community'

To the editor: I am an eighth grade student at the Warwick Valley Middle School. I am interested in politics and would like to learn more about it. I have just come home from a disappointing night because of a missed opportunity. I was looking forward to listening to the Farmers Forum between John Hall and Sue Kelly. Unfortunately, as the venue was too small, I along with many others from the community was unable to enter the building. I would like the candidates to have another forum or a debate at a larger venue where the whole community can take part. It would be an interesting and exciting learning experience for me and many of my classmates. I would like an answer from each of the candidates letting me know if they will take part in a debate where the whole community has an opportunity to learn more about them. Meghan Wachsman Warwick
