Spencer won because he was the most qualified

To the editor: I would like to take this opportunity to correct news reports that Councilman Noel Spencer campaigned at Camp LaGuardia and registered the residents to vote, based on Lambros’ campaign complaints to the Board of Elections. I have been involved in Mr. Spencer’s campaign for county legislator since he decided to run for this seat, and the campaign never planned to campaign or register residents at Camp LaGuardia. This project is better suited for other organizations to handle, instead of a candidate’s campaign. We did, however, campaign throughout the 8th Legislative District and are grateful that the constituents of this district voted for the most qualified person to represent them in the legislature.
