Second graders thankful for their community

To the editor: The second grade students and parents of St. Stephen-St. Edward School would like to thank the many businesses of downtown Warwick for opening their doors for the student’s October “Community Walk.” This is a walk that second grade teacher Barbara Limberg does with her students each year. It allows the students to learn their lesson of “Community” first hand. The students thoroughly enjoyed their walk and the merchant’s were very gracious in opening their doors, giving tours and even giving the students some things to go home with. As parents, we know how blessed we are to be part of a welcoming community. We thank you and hope we have instilled that in each of the children that partook in the walk.
