Recalling Farina's ‘sense of fairness, judgment'

To the editor: Richard Farina is now the Village Judge in Warwick but for many years before that he was my law clerk in the state Supreme Court in Goshen. I hired Richard because of his legal knowledge and ability; through the years, however, I came to rely upon him equally for his good judgment, his sense of fairness and his ability to recognize the subtle factors that make each court case unique. Being a good judge involves much more than merely knowing the law. Judge Farina, both in the Village of Warwick and in the City Courts of Middletown and Newburgh where he regularly assists, has consistently shown that he has all of the qualities that make him an outstanding judge. His reputation is widely known, and he has earned the respect of attorneys throughout Orange County. The Town of Warwick is fortunate to have someone with his experience and integrity as a candidate for Town Justice. I don’t hesitate in urging voters to support him. Angelo J.
