To the editor: On behalf of the officers and members of the Pulaski Fire Company of the Pine Island Fire Department, please let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who either participated or attended our 22nd annual Country Pancake Breakfast on April 1. We were fortunate to have 16 Middle School and High School students representing both Warwick and Minisink schools serve and work as waiters and waitresses. They are each outstanding students and excellent help to our volunteers. We thank everyone for their patience on the long line and hope that you left satisfied. We also appreciate those individuals and farms that donated some of the products we needed for the breakfast. Our costs have increased considerably in the past few years and every donation helps us to make it a successful fund raiser. We are always grateful for donations to keep our costs down. We are proud to report that we also took in three applications for membership. We still have room in our ranks for additional volunteers if you are considering joining your local fire service. Send a note to: Pulaski Fire Co., PO Box 322, Pine Island NY 10969 and we will forward you an application. Again, We thank everyone who in any way helped to make this a successful day for our fire company. Sincerely, David N. Paffenroth, secretary Pulaski Fire Company
