Public hearing April 2 on ‘this unique opportunity'

To the editor: In less than five years, our town has preserved nearly 2,200 acres through the innovative Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) program. Our state legislature has now offered us an exciting new tool to protect our community’s natural and historic resources. A townwide referendum will be held this year to decide if we wish to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
