Proud to be a Warwickian

To the editor: Sometimes I can’t believe how fortunate I am to be living in Warwick. The beauty of the area is astonishing and there is such a strong commitment here to keep it that way. In addition there is always something fun going on. In recent months I went to a free concert of Irish music in the park, had a great time at “Ladies’ Night Out,” hosted at the Garden Tour, attended “A Taste of Warwick” at the Winery and dined at many of the fine restaurants and now it’s time for Applefest. The thing I love most about living and working in Warwick is the strong sense of community. This year, I am honored to be the co-chair of the “Winding Through Warwick” Holiday House Tour and Festival of Trees to benefit St. Anthony Community Hospital. The hospital is there for all of us when we need it. St. Anthony’s has often been recognized for high patient satisfaction and as a patient in the emergency room myself, I was treated with true compassion by the staff. Expansion efforts are under way to improve the hospital to serve us even better. The funds raised by the house tour directly benefit the Warwick Healthcare Campus. By supporting this worthwhile and festive event, we can give back to the community as well as to have an enjoyable day. For reservations or to offer a home for the tour, to be held Dec. 1 and 2, calls can be made to the Foundation office at the hospital at 987-5677. Everyone is welcome to join us.
