Pillmeier seeks post as fire commissioner
To the editor: On Dec. 12, residents of the Florida Fire District will be asked to vote for their next representative to serve our community during the next five years as Fire Commissioner. As a lifelong resident and 50-year member of the Florida Fire Department, I’ve decided to ran for fire commissioner. I am extremely unhappy with the current state of affairs and am offering the voters a candidate who can provide them with better leadership. My experience will undoubtedly serve our community, using my widely regarded professional, no-nonsense approach to the issues. I have always been one to stand up for what is right, letting no one stand in the way. I am a fighter and will fight to keep your ever-increasing taxes from rising. At the same time, however, it is paramount that we provide the volunteers, who keep you safe each and every day, the equipment and supplies they need to continue to do their job. I have served the fire department as chief and president and have served on every parade committee since 1975. This commitment to our community has provided me the experience you need to represent you on this very important, but seldom though about board that decides the fate of not only your taxes, but the fate of the safety of your family as well. Let’s change the status quo; vote for William P. Pillmeier, fire commissioner, on Dec. 12 at the Florida Senior Citizens Center from 4-9 p.m. William P. Pillmeier Jr. Florida
