Penny Steyer supports Warwick's open space
To the editor: I am often dismayed as I drive by a former pastoral view on the corner of West Street and Route 1. Sadly, it now appears to be a poorly planned housing development that has been abandoned. The gently rolling hills are now littered with huge piles of soil and two houses overlook endless roads that lead to nowhere. How can the good people of Warwick allow this to happen? Where is the planning? Penny Steyer, candidate for Warwick Town Supervisor, is a former business owner in the Town of Warwick and an active advocate for the preservation of open space. In her campaign she describes her plan to develop and enforce new guidelines for sensible development. Ms. Steyer emphasizes that land preservation and housing development goals need not be oppositional. Her plans are fair, realistic, and informed. I encourage residents of Warwick to visit her Web site to judge for themselves (www.pennyforwarwick.com). It also describes her stance on taxes, traffic, local businesses and other quality of life issues. Please schedule a time to vote on November 6. Your vote is needed and these issues are just too important to leave for others to decide. Sheila Bouler Warwick,
