Pawliczek states his case for reelection in Florida
To the editor: I am asking the residents of the Village of Florida to vote for me as mayor on March 21 because I have something to offer, such as 40 years of business experience, knowledge of personnel management and familiarity with the operation of local government, zoning and planning by virtue of my experiences as a Real Estate broker. I also have four years experience as mayor with intimate knowledge of projects now in progress and those seeking approval. As a Village Board, we have worked to keep taxes stable and still deliver quality services for you. We have: 1. Brought cellular service to Florida and receive $48,000 income for its rental. 2. Modified the employee benefit plan to increase coverage with estimated savings of $50,000 per year. 3. Received approval of $480,000 in state, federal grants. 4. Built a road and pavilion at the park at Glenmere. 5. Expanded our parks and recreation facilities. In addition we are awaiting completion of: Our sewer plant expansion. A new water main from the lake to Route 94 via the Durland Farm. A sewer line from Route 17A and Randall Street to the Durland Farm. A parking lot between North Main Street and Maple Avenue. Approval of a planned Adult Community (PAC) on the 95-acre Rosenberg property which will increase income and lower taxes with no additional children in our school district. I also look forward to the Quick Check grocery store which is planning to locate at the Big V site with an anticipated opening in December 2006. Your vote is necessary. Please vote for Jim Pawliczek as mayor and Tom Fuller and Tom Chevrier as trustees. It is a pleasure to serve you. Jim Pawliczek Mayor, Village of Florida
