‘Our turn' to support Sommer

To the editor: This letter is to enthusiastically support the candidacy of Jerry Sommer for a seat on the Warwick Valley Central School District’s Board of Education. I have known Mr. Sommer since he moved to Warwick in 1992 and have been impressed by his volunteer contributions to the improvement and enrichment of our community. He provided enlightened educational leadership during his last term on the Board, he helped to guide through the recently-passed open- space preservation community initiatives, he has served on our Stanley-Deming Park summer concerts committee, and I’ve seen him helping in numerous senior citizen social activities. Jerry exemplifies good citizenship in every sense of the word. He does not have to put in thousands of hours of volunteer service but because he does Warwick is a better community for all of us. He has physically and fiscally supported many worthwhile endeavors in our community. Now it’s our turn to give him our unqualified support in return. Richard W. Hull Warwick
