'Our Bill of Rights will be gone by March'

President Obama and each of the members of Congress took an “Oath of Office” when they assumed their positions: “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…” So how did 86 senators, 283 representatives and our current president all forget about that oath when they voted for and signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012? This so called “law” nullifies our “Bill of Rights” and can be implemented as of March 2012. Section 1021 of this unconstitutional “law” would allow American citizens to be indefinitely detained by the military without being charged with a crime. Citizens could be picked up and sent to a military prison to be detained or executed without due process - no access to a lawyer and no explanation. This should have been on the front pages of every newspaper in America with headlines proclaiming that most of Congress and our current president are no longer fit to serve. Every one of them should be impeached and disbarred. They have each violated their oath of office by voting for and signing onto a law which denies American citizens “the right to be secure … against unreasonable searches and seizures.” I propose that every patriot who believes our Constitution is worth defending call some of the 13 senators and 136 representatives who voted against this law, and demand the impeachment of the president. Not only should Obama not be running for a second term, he should be removed from office now. Call the congressional switchboard: 202-224-3121 and ask to speak to anyone who voted against the NDAA. Begin an impeachment inquiry now. Dawn Hoagland Highland Mills
