Michael Sweeton is a dedicated leader
To the editor: From the very start of his position as town supervisor, Michael Sweeton has been a dedicated public servant with passion, knowledge and personal attention being among his greatest assets. The zoning code he passed in his first 30 days in office has received statewide recognition for excellence. The relationship the town has with our three villages has never been better. Michael commits a full-time effort to his duties, has a great working relationship with each department he ultimately oversees, and he still takes the time to personally sign each payroll check. Michael does not mandate or dictate his views; instead he listens to other people’s views. Placing the Community Preservation Act in front of the voters last year is a good example of following the wishes of the community. A vote for Michael Sweeton to continue as our supervisor would be a vote for a vision where our community supports farmers and downtown merchants, the protection of our natural resources, enhanced volunteer efforts and town-wide inclusion and consolidation efforts. I would encourage you to join me in keeping Michael Sweeton as our dedicated town supervisor. Sincerely, Leonard M. DeBuck, Pine Island Warwick Town Councilman
