Mayor proud of Greenwood Lake

To the editor: It is with great pride in the Village of Greenwood Lake that I write the inaugural Mayors message published in the Warwick Advertiser. For those of you who do not know the Village of Greenwood Lake, a village within the Town of Warwick, is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Sterling Forest State Park and the Appalachian Trail system on Orange County’s largest lake. The community, made up of a diverse population is currently planning for its future so that it may continue to offer shopping, employment, cultural, art and seasonal recreational opportunities. It is these characteristics that make Greenwood Lake an attractive destination for visitors and new business, and a wonderful place to grow-up, receive an education, work, raise a family and retire. The Village’s ability to offer a high quality of life, while maintaining its small town character, enhances an already strong level of community pride that makes Greenwood Lake an enjoyable place to live and a memorable place to visit.
