‘Your support doesn’t and can’t end there’

Next month you will have the opportunity to vote for the Warwick Valley school budget. I am hearing a lot of assumptions about what might happen if it doesn’t pass. The district has made it easy for us to know what will happen if it doesn’t pass. It states clearly on the district Web site (warwickvalleyschools.com) which programs with get cut first.

The Web site also says that we will still have to close a school.

Many of you fought along with my family last month to keep a school open because you care for Warwick. Your support doesn’t and can’t end there.

We need the budget to pass next month in order to keep our schools competitive and appealing.

If we don’t, then all of your efforts were for nothing, and not only will people not move to Warwick, they will move away from Warwick for a district that keeps programs as a priority.

    Sincerely,
    Bill Gagliano
    Warwick
