Working for Annie

Our relationship began in 2005. I was assigned to Assemblywoman Annie Rabbitt’s office for my Assembly internship and it was the start of her first term in office in the N.Y.S. Assembly. Eight years later she is still my boss, having hired me on as a staff member after my internship was over. Annie is such a great person, the best boss anyone could ask to work for.

I work hard for her because she is so good to me and my family. I am loyal and dedicated to Annie and she has been giving, compassionate, and trusting of me. She has such an important position and I know she values my work.

I’ve seen Annie at her best and worst in Albany. Regardless of how many times she has taken verbal hits for making the tough votes or how many activists, lobbyists, or reporters have tore her views apart, she always did what was best for her constituents and never gave up or in.

Annie has done more for me than anyone could have. As a working mother I am torn, wanting to be with my child, yet needing to earn income. Annie understands and allows my child to come to work with me and allows me to partially work from home. Annie has always treated me like more than just an employee. She really cares and has gone above and beyond to allow me the flexibility to change my work schedule.

Annie has been very accommodating to me, I could never repay her for what she has done for me. She has given me more precious time with my son at her expense. In return, my son has broken and damaged many of her personal belongings, taken up space in her office with his toys and interrupted many meetings and phone calls.

I know as long as Annie is my boss I can sleep easier knowing I work for a selfless and very caring human being who puts others before herself, a true public servant.

How lucky Orange County residents will be having such a great representative as their new county clerk.
