'We need your help'

| 16 Nov 2017 | 05:44

The Greenwood Lake Food Pantry is an integral part of our community. Mayor Dwyer and I learned this years ago as we were informed that each year the GWL Food Pantry Is nearly wiped out as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.
We also learned that the food pantry is never really replenished between Thanksgiving and the holidays.
So we did something about it.
For the last five years, Mayor Dwyer and I have hosted and sponsored Greenwood Lake Gives Back. This event aims to restock the food pantry after Thanksgiving so local families can use the food pantry and enjoy a wonderful holiday season with their loved ones.
Each year, Greenwood Lake Gives Back has raised thousands of dollars and has delivered truckloads of non-perishable food and other items to the GWL Food Pantry.
This year's event will be held at the Greenwood Lake Elks Lodge. There will be food served, a cash bar and entertainment on Friday evening, Nov. 24
Also part of the event is our raffle of items provided by our loyal local businesses.
We need your help. Please consider donating an item, a gift card or a service your business provides that can be part of our ever-so-popular raffle. The Greenwood Lake business community is stronger than ever and local residents want to do business with you.
This event is very well attended and the raffle is a great way to showcase your business while donating to a great cause.
Please contact me via phone, 845 222-5990, or email, bill.cerone@gmail.com if you would like to participate in the raffle or if you have any questions. No item or donation is too small.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Friday, Nov. 24, at the Greenwood Lake Elks Lodge at 6 p.m. for a great evening in support of our wonderful community.
Thank you for your support and commitment to our community.
    Best Regards,
