Warwick Advertiser took statement ‘so far out of context’

| 04 Apr 2013 | 10:10

I am responding to the article “Market can’t sustain the arts” printed in the March 27th issue of The Warwick Advertiser. I was quoted as saying “Sales are down when artists are present,” which has been taken so far out of context from my overall statement that it is both absurd and personally offensive to me.

I do not oppose artists and farmers sharing the same days and hours; in fact the Warwick Farmers Market and Warwick Art on the Green have been happily coexisting for years.

As anyone who knows me will tell you, I support local artists and events both personally and through my business.

    Sincerely,
    Cheryl Rogowski
