Vote for Pat Davis for Orange County Executive

From my first meeting with Pat Davis, I could tell he was a sincere individual with a deep personal conviction about the current direction of our beautiful Orange County.
Right away, we talked about some of the most important issues directly affecting county taxpayers, and I liked what he had to say.
A West Point graduate who subsequently served as a combat officer, Pat spent a total 27 months in the Iraq combat theater. During his time in the service, he proved his leadership abilities and honed his decision making skills under very challenging conditions.
After returning from overseas, Pat took to the private sector and worked for business consulting and accounting firms. He also went back to school to earn his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Proven leadership skills and advanced private sector business experience are two important qualifications lacking at the county seat today.
Pat also brings a true concern for protecting our environment, which is important if we and future generations are to enjoy our county’s beautiful natural resources. He has taken a strong stance against the CPV Power Plant project, citing regulatory and environmental concerns.
Then there is the proposed Legoland Park in Goshen, which will affect our strained roads, threaten our environment, and mean expensive corporate tax breaks for a business with millions of dollars.
There are many other unsettled issues arising, and yet our county seat sits silently, perhaps waiting for someone’s direction.
I believe it is time for accountability in our local county government. Pat brings proven business leadership and will put the needs of the people before the needs of a select few.
