Village concert series hurts merchants

Over the last year, many Warwick merchants have complained about the village concert series conflicting with their weekend business.
From April through October, the concert series, which is free to the public, has been scheduled almost exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays. This draws potential weekend revenue away from the pubs and restaurants in the village, who say they are hurting on Friday and Saturday nights.
A more equitable solution would be to have concerts on late Sunday afternoon or during the week. This would bring people to the village on days when they normally would not come, thus creating a potential revenue stream for the whole week.
Sincerely,
