Use reusable bags for all your shopping

As Earth Day approaches (April 22), let us all renew our commitment to re-using bags.

Shun the single use bags. Don't be discouraged by your bad habits. Drag your old bags out of the trunk and bring them into the stores.

Using reusable bags can serve as a daily reminder to ourselves and others that we all have to work together to save our planet.

We all regret seeing single use plastic bags littering our beautiful countryside. We all know that many of the single use plastic bags end up in stream and oceans.

We realize that single use bags are too thin to recycle easily.

We have heard of the vast stretches of oceans littered with swirling plastic.

But we still succumb to the ease of the throw away bag.

Let's create new habits. Don't just stop at bringing your re-usable bags to the supermarket, bring them to the drug store, the hardware store, the convenience store.

This is one simple, inexpensive, everyday action all of can take to protect our environment.

Stand up for Mother Earth. Set a good example for our children. Don't accept single use bags.
