Trees that speak

| 02 Aug 2018 | 04:50

Last year our village trees were decorated with knitting and crocheting under the banner: Knitting Warwick Together.
This year our trees are speaking to us with inspirational words. Beginning July 25 and concluding on Aug. 18, local artists are creating hanging sculptures that will decorate the trees on Main Street and Railroad Avenue.
Wickham Works!, a non-profit that helps promote local artists, is sponsoring this art installation.
It will be an added attraction during the Warwick Summer Arts Festival and the Hudson Valley Jazz Festival.
Pat Foxx, a local artist, is putting it together. If you see a word that inspires you to write a poem, please send it to her at patfoxx@warwick.net.
A poetry evening will take place at Milkweed Gallery in Sugar Loaf in the fall where the poets will read their poems and vote for the best one. Prizes will be awarded.
Open to all ages.
