‘The reasons are clear’ for the mayor’s re-election
We wholeheartedly support Barbara Moore for re-election as mayor.
The reasons are clear: the new Greenwood Park land next to the post office; Lyons and Helen Kelly Park recreational fields; multiple new playgrounds; Waterstone Road library and commuter parking lot - all built with grant money rather than taxes, reflect a proud community.
Grants require great effort, focus, perseverance and follow up, all of which directly reflect our mayor’s many positive attributes.
Mayor Moore’s many innovative accomplishments are well documented: the battle to keep weeds from choking our beautiful lake; the Morahan Park beach; weekend concerts; and maintaining a stable tax rate while improving our village quality of life.
As third generation residents of Greenwood Lake, we have lived through difficult transitions as the village transformed from a resort town to a bedroom community.
It continued to decline until Barbara came on the scene, first as a trustee and then as our mayor with vision of what Greenwood Lake could be.
During Barbara’s tenure we have watched Greenwood Lake transform into the village we are proud to drive through, live in and be a part of.
Re-elect Mayor Moore.
Respectfully,
John and Mary Cox
