The Greenwood Lake Food Pantry could use your help

For more than 25 years, The Greenwood Lake Food Pantry has been a lifeline for families in our community, providing essential groceries to those facing difficult times.

During this time, we have remained committed to ensuring that no one in Greenwood Lake goes hungry. This mission has been made possible through the unwavering generosity and support of our community — for which we are truly grateful.

Lately however, we have been struggling to maintain sufficient inventory. Certain factors have combined to create a need.

There has been a significant reduction in the grant funding we receive from the government and corporate sponsors — down by approximately 40 percent.

At the same time, the cost of food has risen sharply, putting additional strain on our limited resources. It is becoming difficult to make ends meet.

Moreover, the demand for our services has nearly doubled. Where we once served 25-30 families each week, we now provide food for 50 families. This increase in traffic highlights the growing need within our community and we are committed to meeting this demand.

Because of all these factors, we are reaching out to you for help. We are launching a campaign to encourage monthly contributions through PayPal.

Your support, however small, can make a tremendous difference in the lives of those who depend on us. Regular donations provide a predictable stream of income that allows us to plan and manage our resources more efficiently.
