The generosity of the committee
Backpack Snack Attack is very grateful to the Warwick Township businesses, restaurants and individuals who so generously supported us during the Backpack Snack Attack to School Month of August.
I am personally thankful to live in a community that is generous and cares about the welfare of children.
An article in The Warwick Advertiser listed all of the restaurants and businesses and highlighted some of the biggest contributors.
I would like to thank all of them again and add a few other highlights of the campaign. Sonny’s Studio Nail Spa generously donated 10 percent of its August income and United Martial Arts Centers had several fund raisers during August that included monetary as well as food donations. Savvy Chic Consignment Boutique and Track Seven raise money and accept food for us continually throughout the year.
It is not possible to list in this article all of the churches, organizations, and individuals that have supported us from the start. We are thankful to all and could not feed all of the children referred to us by the schools without your help.
Again, we are very grateful to the community for giving us the funds to start the 2013-14 school year.
We look forward to meeting such an important need with the Warwick Community supporting our endeavors.
We hope next year’s Backpack Snack Attack Back to School month will be even more successful than our first.
Sincerely,
Shirley Puett
