‘The act of voting is a powerful reminder of how much we care about ... the services that support ... our daily lives’

Together with the Albert Wisner Public Library’s Board of Trustees and staff members, I offer heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in the library’s recent tax levy and trustee vote.

The official results of the tax levy proposition were: 389 yes, 60 no.

Trustees Nora Aman-Gurvich and Mark Damia were both re-elected to serve another five-year term.

I thank Kristen Georgi for being a candidate for trustee, demonstrating her strong commitment to serving the residents of the Warwick Valley School District.

Whether you voted in favor or not, your engagement shows that you are paying attention and are committed to our community.

The act of voting itself is a powerful reminder of how much we care about the public spaces and services that support and enhance our daily lives.

Each voice matters, and the trustees and I welcome constructive feedback year ‘round. We continually seek new ways to help patrons meet, discover, learn and connect.

Thank you again for your participation.

    Sincerely,

    Lisa Laico

    Library Director
